A lot of AC calls come in when the house is already warm and the number on the thermostat keeps climbing. Usually it's one part: a capacitor that won't start the fan, a relay that sticks, a fan motor that has quit, or a drain line that backs up and trips the system.

We test before we replace anything, then tell you what failed and what it costs. One customer had been told by another company that their compressor was gone. It wasn't. The fan motor had stopped turning, and replacing it brought the house from 85 degrees back down to the thermostat setting.
